Rekha Ji
Learning & Growing
“I wanted to learn stitching, but I never imagined I would grow to lead workshops and teach others what I love.”

Rekha Ji started her journey with Project Shakti, eager to learn and support her large joint family. With two children and extended relatives at home, she carried responsibility from the start, but also a curiosity and focus that drew people to her.
After her initial stitching training, Rekha Ji joined Project Pragati at the Foundation. She learned quickly, taking in every detail, and soon her work stood out. Each dress she made reflected the thought she put in, and people noticed not just the work but the way she approached it. Recognizing her potential, the Foundation trained her in block printing, giving her another skill to explore and master.
Becoming a Mentor
Over time, Rekha Ji became a more skilled artisan, and began to share what she had learned with others, guiding and encouraging women around her. Today, she travels across Rajasthan and beyond to lead workshops, teaching block printing, showing her skills, and inspiring women to believe in what they can achieve.
A Story of Curiosity and Determination
Rekha Ji's journey is about steady growth, curiosity, and persistence. It shows how one person's determination can transform not just her own life but the lives of many others. From learning stitching to leading workshops, she has made her path and continues to lift others along with her.
